People believe menstruation is a curse.

“In Nepal, menstruating girls are banished from their family homes and forced into huts very far from their villages.”

Rural Women’s Network Nepal (RUWON)

Kathmandu, Nepal - 2022

Network of Women (NOW) is excited to announce that we are partnering with Rural Women’s Network Nepal (RUWON Nepal) and Paint the Globe Foundation to provide students with art supplies and feminine hygiene products. Rural Women’s Network Nepal (RUWON) is a Women’s organization that has been working hard to improve the condition of marginalized girls and women in rural Nepal since 2007.

RUWON strives to contribute to the economic and social development of the country at local, national and international levels. Their grassroots involvement assists women and marginalized people through networking, empowerment, education and shelter. RUWON has requested 500 Ubibi Bags with reusable pads, underwear, soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, and more.

Financial contributions will sponsor a girl to stay in school and small women-owned businesses to make reusable pads and soaps in Nepal.

Your donation will help young girls and women complete their education and generate income.  Your generous and kind gift empowers young girls and women to transform their lives.
